Previously, Singapore get a lot of 3d animated films that is ‘home-made’. However, if you dig deep enough, you will realize a lot are ‘out-sourced’ to oversea company to produce a ‘home-made’ film (Just like our sports)
Today, I read about this film shelldon from InsanePoly blog, a local 3d talent/trainer
Extract from InsanePoly:
“This will probably not appear in our mainstream media anytime soon, but I am glad to present something created by entirely by a group of dedicated local artists. Unfortunately I wasn’t part of the production team, but I feel very happy to see the results of their hard work and that singapore animation and CG productions doesn’t always have to be second class.
By no means are they on the level of Pixar or Dreamworks, but this is as good a CG series as you will find anywhere. Lest we forget, this is actually the first official 3D series from the studio, so I think we can only expect bigger and better things from here onwards. With proper time and support I don’t see why there is no reason they cannot be just as good. Everyone has to start somewhere someplace.”

I am happy to see good films like our local 881 arising as compared to past films that has no content and only serve to criticize the government.
