AirTalkr is a Instant Messenger that allows you to connect to MSN Messenger, AOL, ICQ, Yahoo!, as well as your Flickr Photos / YouTube Videos. It is my personal project and my 2nd AIR project after Icicle and I strive to keep the UI simple and slick. Currently, most of the basic features like chating, connectivity to Flickr Photos, as well as to youtube videos has been done and I am looking for Alpha Testers who are kind enough to help me to test for bugs and such.

Recently, I found an issue with ADT package of air files which I thought it will be good share around. When packaging AIR files using ADT tools, e.g

<path>\flex_sdk_3\bin\adt -package icicle.air application.xml Main.swf icons resources/icon resources/images

Do not include empty files (e.g., a txt file with no content inside). If you have an empty file, the installer will raise an error that the file cannot be found and the installation will fail. So..do not include an empty file. =)

We have a great usergroup meeting last saturday, which stretches for 3 and a half hours with 4 presenters. A bit information overload, but I think its a good start! Also, I will like to thanks Ryan for giving us the great Actionscript books. Surely make us geeks feel appreciated!
